What We Believe

We believe that Jesus (Yeshua) is Israel’s promised Messiah and the Redeemer of the entire human race. By His virgin birth, life, death and physical resurrection He fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament related to the Messiah’s first coming. Jesus, the Divine Word made flesh, is the fullest revelation of God to man. He is God incarnate in human flesh. (Isaiah 52:13-53:12; Luke 24:44; John 1:14,18)

We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that by voluntary disobedience he fell from perfection. (Genesis 2:16-17; Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 5:12)

We believe the only provision God made for reconciling man to Himself was through the atoning work of Jesus, Who died as the sacrifice for our disobedience and rose again, manifesting His victory over sin and death. (Leviticus 17:11; Isaiah 53:6; 2 Corinthians 5:19; 1 Peter 1:18-21; 1 Corinthians 15:57; 2 Timothy 1:10)

We believe the Bible is God’s Word to man, the only reliable and authoritative guide to faith and conduct. (Psalm 119:89; Proverbs 30:5-6; Timothy 3:16-17)

We believe that God gave the practices of the Old Testament (Law) for moral instruction and as a body of cultural-national practice which would point forward to the Messiah’s work. Fulfillment of the Old Testament by the work of Jesus does not imply its abrogation. Righteousness with God, however is solely by grace through faith in Jesus. (Deuteronomy 6:20-25, 32:45-47; Psalm 19:7-14; Jeremiah 31:35-37; Matthew 5:17-19; Romans 3:31, 7:12; Galatians 2:21, 3:21-22)

We believe all who repent from sin and accept God’s message of salvation in Jesus the Messiah are born of the Holy Spirit. (Jeremiah 31:31-34, Ezekiel 36:26-27; John 1:11-13; Hebrews 2:10-18, 7:20-25)

We believe Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man. (1 Timothy 2:5) and that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus (Yeshua). John 14:6 says: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

We believe in the work and presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer which brings forth the fruit of righteousness in the life of all followers of Jesus. (Romans 8:1-4; Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12; Galatians 5:22-23)
